Do you love cranberry sauce during the holidays?
I love homemade cranberry sauce but not the canned version. I know, I know...there's alot of folks that like the canned stuff but I'm betting once you give a homemade version a try, you won't go back. Making cranberry sauce is super quick and easy. You can tweek it to your tastebuds.
- 12 oz bag of cranberries
- 4 oz water
- 1 cup Trim Healthy Mama sweetener or Monk Fruit
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 orange or 4 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil
Combine the cranberries and water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until all the berries pop, about 5-7 minutes. Add the other ingredients and reduce the heat to low. Squeeze orange juice into pan. Cook until desired thickness. It will thicken further as it cools.
Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or you can freeze it. I like adding it to toast or biscuits.
